Boston Legacy Football Club Signs Chloe Ricketts
Boston (October 1, 2025) - Boston Legacy Football Club today announced the signing of Chloe Ricketts on a pre-contract agreement from the Washington Spirit. The 18-year-old forward will officially join Boston Legacy Football Club in January of 2026, following the conclusion of the 2025 NWSL season. She's on contract through 2028 with a mutual option for 2029.
Ricketts will spend the remainder of the current NWSL season on a short-term deal with the Houston Dash, after transferring from Washington Spirit, where she made history as the first-ever player to sign via the NWSL Under-18 Entry Mechanism in 2023.
Hailing from Dexter, Michigan, Ricketts turned professional at just 15 years old and quickly emerged as one of the league’s standout young talents. She made her mark on the national stage this year with a debut for the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team at the CONCACAF Championships.
Before turning pro, Ricketts stood out at every level of youth soccer. In 2022, she became the youngest-ever player and goalscorer for AFC Ann Arbor in the USL W League, netting twice in 11 appearances. She also earned recognition as the No. 25-ranked prospect in the 2025 college recruiting class by TopDrawerSoccer before opting to go pro.
Ricketts holds an impressive youth résumé that includes back-to-back state championships with Michigan Hawks (2017, 2018), regional and national titles with the Michigan Tigers boys’ team, including the 2022 US Youth Soccer U-15 National Championship.
