Ballon d'Or nominee Amanda Gutierres Signs with Boston Legacy FC

Boston (October 3, 2025) - Boston Legacy Football Club today announced the signing of Brazilian international forward Amanda Gutierres in exchange for an agreed upon transfer fee. The 24-year-old is on a permanent pre-transfer, and will join Boston Legacy Football Club in January upon the opening of the 2026 transfer window. She is contracted until December 2029.
Hailing from Santa Cruz do Monte Castelo, Paraná, Gutierres will join Boston Legacy Football Club from Palmeiras, one of the top teams in Brazil. She was recently nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or Féminin, finishing 21st in the global ranking, an extraordinary achievement highlighting her status among the world’s elite players.
A regular for the Brazilian National Team, Gutierres played a key role in securing Brazil’s victorious 2025 Copa América Femenina, finishing as joint top scorer of the competition with six goals. She found the net in regular time during the final against Colombia and also scored a crucial penalty in the shootout, helping secure Brazil’s title. Gutierres was also named to the Team of the Tournament.
At the club level, Gutierres has been a dominant force, leading Palmeiras in goals last season and claiming the Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino Série A1 Golden Boot in both 2023 and 2024. Her standout performances earned her the prestigious Bola de Prata award in 2024, recognizing her as one of the league's top players.
