BOSTON LEGACY FC MATCHDAY TRIVIA CONTEST

These are the Official Rules for the Boston Legacy FC Matchday Trivia Contest (the “Contest”). Your participation confirms that you meet the eligibility requirements and accept these Official Rules and the decisions of Boston Legacy Football Club LLC (“Sponsor”) concerning this Contest and these Official Rules.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Sponsor will award ten (10) total prizes in this Contest. Each of the ten (10) top-scoring verified participants (each, a “Winner”) will receive one (1) Boston Legacy FC merchandise item (a “Prize”). Winners will be determined based on skill, accuracy, and speed during the digital trivia competition held on the official Boston Legacy FC mobile application (the “App”) in accordance with the mechanics outlined below.

ELIGIBILITY. This Contest is open to all individuals who are at least thirteen (13) years of age and physically present at the Boston Legacy FC match at the time of entry. Entrants between thirteen (13) and seventeen (17) years of age (“Minors”) are permitted to enter only with the permission and consent of a parent or legal guardian. If a Minor is determined to be a Winner, the Prize must be claimed by, and all required paperwork executed by, the Winner’s parent or legal guardian. Children under thirteen (13) years of age may only participate under the direct supervision and through the registered app account of a parent or legal guardian. Employees, directors, officers, and agents of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, advertising agencies, and their immediate family or household members are not eligible to participate.

CONTEST MECHANICS: The Contest is a game of skill administered through the App during the designated match.

• Questions: The Contest consists of exactly six (6) trivia questions presented sequentially in the App.

• Scoring: Points are awarded for each correctly answered question. The speed of a correct response directly impacts the point value earned: the faster a participant selects the correct answer, the higher the points awarded for that question. Incorrect answers or unanswered questions do not earn any points. 

• Determining Winners: At the conclusion of Question 6, the ten (10) participants with the highest cumulative point totals on the official Contest leaderboard will be designated potential Winners.

• Tiebreakers: In the event of a tie in point totals for any of the top ten (10) positions, the tie will be broken based on fastest aggregate response time across all six questions. In no event will chance or random drawing be used to determine a Winner or break a tie.

All officiating, scoring, time-tracking, and backend compliance checks performed by Sponsor's software and representatives are final, binding, and non-appealable.

Potential Winners will be notified via the app and/or the official matchday leaderboard immediately following the conclusion of the Contest. To claim a Prize, each potential Winner must visit the Boston Legacy FC Fan Engagement Table located on the west main concourse by halftime of the match. Prizes will not be shipped or mailed. Potential Winners must present their winning mobile app confirmation screen and valid identification to staff at the Fan Engagement Table. If a Winner is a Minor (under 18 years of age), the Minor must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must claim the Prize and execute any required paperwork on the Minor’s behalf. If a potential Winner fails to visit the Fan Engagement Table within the designated timeframe, provides false information, or fails to satisfy eligibility criteria, the Prize will be forfeited.

Prizes are awarded “as is” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Prizes must be claimed in person at the Fan Engagement Table as mentioned above. No cash alternatives, substitutions, or transfers of Prizes are permitted. Winners (or their parent/legal guardian if Winner is a Minor) are solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each Prize: $30.00. Total ARV of all Prizes combined: $300.00.

Participation in the Contest constitutes an agreement to these Official Rules and forms a binding contract between you (and your parent/guardian if you are a Minor) and Sponsor.

As a condition to receiving a Prize, potential Winners (or their parent/legal guardian if a Minor) may be required to complete, sign, and return a Winner’s Affidavit, Liability Release, and Publicity Release.

By participating, entrants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sponsor, National Women's Soccer League, LLC (“NWSL”) and each of the NWSL members clubs’ operating entities, and each of their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising agencies, stadium operators, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or injuries arising in any way out of participation in the Contest or the receipt, ownership, or use of any Prize. Furthermore, by participating in this Contest, Participants grant the Released Parties the absolute, irrevocable right and license to use, disclose, broadcast, and publish their name, voice, statements, biographical information, photograph, and/or likeness for advertising, promotional, and media purposes across any platforms now known or hereafter developed, worldwide and in perpetuity, without further compensation, review, or approval. Nothing in these Official Rules shall limit or exclude liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

IN NO EVENT SHALL SPONSOR OR THE RELEASED PARTIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE CONTEST OR PRIZES.

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or corrupted entries, or for technical failures of any kind, including server downtime, lost internet/cellular connections, app glitches, or hardware malfunctions that may affect a user's score or ability to submit answers. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if technical failures, fraud, or factors beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impair the integrity or proper administration of the Contest.

This Contest is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and all entrants and Participants agree to personal jurisdiction and venue in Boston, Massachusetts for the resolution of all actions, litigation, claims, and disputes, and agree that all actions, litigation, claims, and disputes shall be brought in a court with competent jurisdiction in Boston, Massachusetts.
