BLFC kicks off August with the Boston sports community

The first week of August was a busy one for Boston Legacy FC, with a Red Sox game, Rhode Island FC match, and an appearance at the Ucal McKenzie Breakaway Foundation’s 2025 Soccer and Health Camp all on the calendar.
It all kicked off on Tuesday, August 5, with Women’s Empowerment Night at Fenway Park. The Legacy Founders joined the Red Sox and PWHL’s Boston Fleet on-field for pregame ceremonies, with former Boston Breaker and current Northeastern women’s soccer head coach Ashley Philips throwing out a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of BLFC. Later, Ashley visited the booth for an interview with the first all-women’s broadcast team in MLB history.
One night later, the four Founders and General Manager Domè Guasch met with members of the Rhode Island FC leadership team in collaboration and celebration of soccer in the New England region. The two teams participated in a scarf exchange and coin toss before the game.
On August 7th, Domè attended the Ucal McKenzie Breakaway Foundation’s 2025 Soccer and Health Camp to speak to over 160 kids between the ages of 8-18. The club and Foundation further cemented the relationship, with the Legacy partnering with Able Made to retail their socks in green, black and white. 15% of proceeds from the socks will support city-youth health via the UMBF.
The busy week comes on the heels of a visit to the second day of New England Patriots training camp, when Domè spoke with fans, and met head coach Mike Vrabel at the conclusion of the practice. Alba Caño also got her first introduction to the team’s 2026 home, Gillette Stadium, with an introductory photo shoot on the field.
