Boston Legacy Football Club Appoints Former Boston Breaker Rachel Duranwood as Soccer Engagement Lead

Boston (October 16, 2025) - Boston Legacy Football Club today announced the appointment of Rachel Duranwood, as Soccer Engagement Lead. With both professional experience as a former Boston Breaker in the NWSL, and extensive experience in youth development, Duranwood will lead soccer engagement initiatives and help the club build a thriving community of youth and adult players throughout New England.
“My first job was as a professional soccer player, and my second was becoming an educator and mentor to the next generation. Joining Boston Legacy Football Club feels like everything has come full circle. I finally get to bring my two worlds together in the city I fell in love with and now call home. I've been lucky to work with youth soccer players across New England for the past eight years, and now I get to connect them to a professional team right here in Boston.”
“Rachel brings not only the experience of a former pro, but also the heart of an educator and leader,” said Amina Bulman, Chief Revenue Officer of Boston Legacy Football Club. “Her passion for the game and for developing players on and off the field aligns with our mission to make soccer more accessible, inclusive, and inspiring across our region.”
Prior to her career in the NWSL, Duranwood played professionally for HK/Vikingur in Iceland. Duranwood also played collegiately for the University of North Carolina Tarheels for three years where she won two NCAA National Championships. She is the founder and CEO of Summit Soccer, a development academy focused on supporting female soccer players of all ages and skill levels, and brings nearly a decade of experience mentoring athletes throughout the region.
Duranwood earned her degree in Psychology and Social Behavior in 2013 and has used that foundation to build Summit Soccer into a premier player development platform.
