JuJu Watkins Joins Boston Legacy Football Club Investor Group
BOSTON (November 6, 2025) – Boston Legacy Football Club is pleased to welcome JuJu Watkins, basketball star for the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans, to its investor group. She is the first college athlete to directly invest in a professional women’s sports team.
In her freshman year at USC, JuJu set the all-time national freshman scoring record with 920 points, ranked No. 2 in the nation in scoring, and earned unanimous first team All-American honors. She also led USC to its first Pac-12 Tournament title in over a decade.
As a sophomore, JuJu won the Big Ten regular season championship, and earned top national honors, including the Naismith College Player of the Year - the most prestigious national award given annually to the men's and women's college basketball players of the year. She also received the John R. Wooden Award, and was named AP Player of the Year.

Boston Legacy Football Club will kick off its inaugural season in 2026 with a strong list of investors, including three-time Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman, actress Elizabeth Banks, Celtics General Manager Brad Stevens and his wife, Tracy, and most recently, Aliyah Boston, WNBA player for the Indiana Fever, and Caleb Williams, NFL quarterback for the Chicago Bears.
