Aleigh Gambone played four years for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, where she helped UNC win the ACC tournament as a freshman in 2019. She went pro afterwards, signing with Danish Women’s League club Fortuna Hjørring on a short-term contract at the end of 2022. She then joined Scottish Women’s Premier League side Glasgow City F.C. on a two-year deal in July 2023, where she gained experience in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Gambone secured a starting position at Glasgow, becoming one of the standout players in the SWPL during her time in Scotland, scoring nine goals across two seasons.
