International Report: Four Boston Legacy Players Head to International Duty
Four Boston Legacy players have earned national team call-ups ahead of the upcoming FIFA international window. Barbara Olivieri joins Venezuela, Amanda Gutierres links up with Brazil, Aïssata Traoré represents Mali, and Chloe Ricketts heads into camp with the U.S. U-20s. As the international break begins, each player will take part in pivotal matches that shape 2026 qualification campaigns or, in Ricketts’ case, preparations for next year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Amanda Gutierres | Brazil
Amanda Gutierres, Boston Legacy FC’s Brazilian international forward, has been named to the Seleção Feminina roster for upcoming friendlies against England and Italy this month.
Gutierres, recently signed by Boston on a pretransfer, will officially join the Legacy in January after transferring from Palmeiras. She was recently nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or Féminin, finishing 21st in the global rankings. A two-time Campeonato Brasileiro Série A1 Golden Boot winner and 2025 Copa América Femenina champion, she enters camp as one of Brazil’s most in-form attackers. The 24-year-old from Santa Cruz do Monte Castelo scored six goals during Brazil’s Copa América title run this past summer and continues to be a central figure in Pia Sundhage’s national team setup.

Olivieri, who joined Boston from the Houston Dash earlier this year and is currently on loan with Liga MX Femenil team Tigres UANL, continues to play a major role for Venezuela’s senior team. One of the brightest young talents in the NWSL, Ricketts made her debut for the U.S. U-20 side earlier this year at the CONCACAF Championships. Currently on a short-term deal with the Houston Dash, Ricketts will officially join Boston ahead of the 2026 season. She originally made history with the Washington Spirit in 2023 as the first-ever player to sign via the NWSL Under-18 Entry Mechanism.

Traoré, a dynamic forward currently featuring for FC Fleury 91 in France’s Division 1 Féminine, has been a key figure for Mali since her debut in 2018. She helped lead Les Aiglonnes to their best-ever WAFCON finish that year, reaching the semifinals, and earlier this year led Mali to the WAFCON quarterfinals.
